Kayaking on Westport River East Branch - in Westport MA

Rating: Two Stars - From the put in across Osprey Sea Kayak, the Westport River East Branch is flowing fast on a canal, slowly meandearing and later opens up and widens into the estuary scenery. Nice river-front houses. I started my trip about 2-and-a-half hours before low tide so the tide was receding mostly except for the last half-hour of my 3-hour trip. By the time I got under the Route 88 bridge, the tide is rising and and the river is flowing north under the bridge.
